Apostle Christopher Kornegay, along with his wife, Prophetess Keita Kornegay founded Greater Purpose International Community Church in 2012. Together they have accepted the mandate to meet the spiritual needs of those they encounter by empowering them to fulfill their purpose in Christ.

Apostle Chris graduated from Liberty University with a Master of Divinity degree in Theological Studies, and from University of Mount Olive with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business studies with a concentration in Healthcare Management. Apostle Chris also attended Bible Faith Global University where he obtained his Doctorate of Divinity degree in Theological Studies, Master of Divinity degree in Christian Counseling, Bachelor of Divinity Degree in Theology, and Associate Degree in Theology.

In addition to many offices held in the local church, Apostle Chris has been mentored in the inner workings of the church and in how to operate on an administrative level. Being in ministry for over 20 years has helped Apostle Chris cultivate his passion for teaching and preaching God’s word like no other.

Apostle Chris along with Prophetess Keita, currently serve as Senior Pastors of Greater Purpose International. This is the first phase in Seeds of Purpose Ministries, which is designed to provide a platform for the emergence of the vision that has been placed in their hearts. Apostle Chris shares an affinity for God’s people and in seeing them transform from the church to the Kingdom. His motto is based from 2 Corinthians 5:17, “A New Experience, for God’s New People.” He is determined to carry the Gospel throughout the world.

Apostle Chris is passionate about the Kingdom of God and continues his mission to help others pursue the things of God. He loves his family and is proud to be the father of 4 great children.

Prophetess Keita Kornegay is the Senior Pastor of Greater Purpose International Community Church, founded with her husband Apostle Christopher Kornegay, Sr. Together they have accepted the mandate to meet the spiritual needs of those they encounter by empowering them to fulfill their purpose in Christ.

Prophetess Keita is a college professor and advisor. Prophetess Keita has received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Office Administration, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management (minor in Criminal Justice), and a Master of Business Administration with concentration in Healthcare Management. Prophetess Keita also has an Associate and Bachelor degrees in Theology, a Master of Divinity degree in Christian Counseling, and Doctorate of Divinity degree in Theological Studies from Bible Faith Global University. In addition to degrees, Prophetess Keita holds the following certifications: Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS), Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA), Certified Medical Coding Specialist (CMCS), and Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS).
Prophetess Keita and Apostle Chris have four extraordinary children (Alexis, Christiana, Chris Jr., and Xavier) that work well in the Kingdom. Alexis serves in the Audio/Visual department, Christiana serves on the youth and adult Praise Team and Dance ministries, Chris Jr. (Earl) serves as the Minister of Music, and Xavier serves in the Music ministry. All of the children participate in the Youth and Drama ministries at Greater Purpose International Community Church.

Prophetess Keita founded Fit For The King, a women’s ministry dedicated to equipping women for the work of the Kingdom. Prophetess Keita shares a genuine love for God’s people and seeing them transform from being broken to being the blessing, from being forgotten to being the forgiving, from being lost to being the living.
​
Prophetess Keita is a firm believer in the power of God and the Word of God. Her motto, Know Your Worth, is based on Psalm 139:14. Prophetess Keita is a living testimony of Jeremiah 29:11. She is determined to show and tell the world that God can Save, Deliver, Establish, Exhalt, and Promote.
